Grandly we Dorsetted, greatly we disappointed!

Yes, this is it. We finished our papers (not really la, Japanese on next Tuesday). Oh....Yes, we finished our papers. Makan dinner buffet at Victoria'sGrand Dorsett, Labuan.
Disappointed!! Grand Dorsett dinner buffet are over-publicized. Perhaps, we expected too much from it.

The Foods
The theme of the night is BBQ buffet. Ok, they have some "BBQ actions" outside near the pool, serving BBQed sausages, lamb chop, chicken wings, beef, satay, prawns with BBQ and chili sauce. Not bad, I would said.
Inside the restaurant, by taking our first glance when we walked in to the restaurant, we saw variety of foods that are very well-presented. We were excited and eager to try especially the prawns and oysters but it turned out that prawns and oyster disappointed us the most as well. The prawns and oysters served there tasted not fresh at all.Sushi there? The rice of the Sushi is too soft and the sushi with taste-like-tuna-from-cans, only.

The desserts is the best thing of the night. We love the cakes so much.........many variety of choices there, I forgot all the names but DELICIOUS! Most of the time, I was indulging myself with all different types of cakes and the best part is that they replaced with different cake every time when its finished. I tried many cakes and I ate brownies with ice-cream, delicious! Felt like dining in Secret Recipes. A- for the deserts there!



















The Services
Services there? We was very surprised with the services there because we encountered few unpleasant situations. The waiters and waitress there are very "efficient" in cleaning the tables. We were busy eating and talking, the staff walked around our table to collect the plates even though with plenty of foods left on it. They took it away without our permission, we have to stopped them. We were so annoyed by them.
Because of their efficeincy, our table always lack of spoons and forks. When Li Ki tried to ask the waitress in front of her to bring the spoons and forks, the waitress simply replied "this is a self-service restaurant". Zzzzzzzzzz..............speechless!
